For sale is really an amazing piece of history. You get a framed and matted Newsweek from January 15th, 1990 of MANUEL NORIEGA. Also, there is a clear signature matted below of General Manuel Noriega of Panama. Better yet, Noriega took time to write on the Newsweek and show his bitterness against the US. The English translation of what he wrote is:"Invasion of Republic of Panama by U.S. violating human rights and the Geneva Convention". (clearly stating the invasion of Panama was a violation of the Geneva Agreement)
killed:Panama - 7000US - 733(Interesting he included the discrepancy in the death reports of the invasion of what Panama claimed occurred vs what the US said the results were)
MAY 1989 (he wrote this obviously referring to his being ousted by election which he ALWAYS blamed on AMERICAN INFLUENCE)
"The persecution of Colombia to free Latin America is the _____ of Neo Colonialism and against the self-determination of the free peoples of America" I could not translate one word but the rest were very clear in history that the US intervened to help Panama become independent from Columbia in order to Free Panama to be able to make the canal - he obviously threw out some words to show the US was acting in their own interest and nobody elses in doing this long ago)
The back of the piece had an original translation attached but has faded over the years to the point where you cannot read it
What a fantastic piece which amazing historical content!!!
