Margot De Taxco Mexican Sterling Swan Motif Necklace Earrings Set-suite:
Absolutely gorgeous Necklace and Earring vintage Set by Margot van Voorhies Carr, known as Margot de Taxco, one of the most collectible names in vintage Mexican Silver jewelry. Using the rare swan motif, Margot designed a masterpiece of chased and repousse work with pin hinged links, applied cannetille bubbles and swan feathers - all handmade of course - to bring her dimentional creation to life. The Necklace measures approximately 17" long x 3" wide x 1/2" high. Stamped with the early Eagle 16 hallmark (used from 1948 through 1955), the Necklace also bears the legend "Margot de Taxco 5320-Sterling-Made in Mexico". The closure is the slide under tongue and groove clasp which is secure, for the weight of the piece is substantial. The Earrings are fashioned as a single swan, measure 1 1/4" long x 7/8" wide and have the original screw-back findings. They are also signed and numbered and bear the Eagle 16 mark. The condition of all pieces is remarkable. The total weight is 101.5 grams. Truly a spectacular Set! PAYPAL sale...PAYMENT DUE THREE DAYS FROM sale END...NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE. THANK YOU.
