This photo is from Andre\'s private collection, a true celebration of the sweet innocent Marilyn Monroe as she has never been seen before until De Dienes himself died in 1985.

PHOTOGRAPH HISTORY: This beautiful vintage Marilyn Monroe photo was photographed by Andre De Dienes in 1949 at Tobey beach, Long Island and printed by the Andre De Dienes Estate in 1992. The gelatin silver photograph is an 11\" x 14\" enlargement on oversize double weight semi gloss fiber paper and printed in a genuine darkroom from the photographer\'s original negative. In 1949, Andre de Dienes was one of the very first and most acclaimed photographer\'s to photograph the beautiful Marilyn Monroe at the beginning of her film career until her untimely death as the most famous Iconic Screen Goddess, Marilyn Monroe. After the passing of Andre De Dienes, his wife Shirley commissioned the professional printing of an extreme Limited Edition of her late husband\'s original negatives. Most of these photograph\'s have never been seen before. To validate these photographs, Shirley personally signed and stamped them with Andre De Dienes\' personal studio stamps. These have sold for as much as $5000+ at other sale houses.

PRINTED FROM ORIGINAL NEGATIVE: Shirley de Dienes commissioned a limited number of her late husband\'s very rare never seen before original negatives to be professionally printed. Shirley signed each one at lower right corner and backside, which also includes on the backside Andre\'s original studio credit stamps and copyrights.

ANDRE DE DIENES ~ 1913 - 1985:
Andre de Dienes was born in Transylvania now Romania. Andre studied art and photography in Paris and by 1938 he emigrated to the USA and settled in New York to work for Esquire, Vogue, Life and Montgomery Ward. Andre moved to California to pursue his real passion photographing nudes and outdoor scenes. Andre became one of Hollywood\'s most acclaimed photographers and for his beautiful photographs of Marilyn Monroe. De Dienes captured Marilyn on film throughout her entire career, from Norma Jeane to the Hollywood legend. From Marilyn\'s first photo session in 1945 until her untimely death in 1962, the star and her photographer shared a unique and loving relationship.
