Mark Brooks has been working professionally for nearly a decade for Marvel, DC, Hasbro Toys, Sideshow Collectibles, Udon Studios and many more. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for his incredible attention to detail and story telling on such titles as Uncanny X-Force, Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man, Young Avengers, the cover artist for Fearless Defenders and many more. His convention commissions are popular among collectors and have become high demand items. Mark focuses on creating unique, one-of-a-kind, high quality original art. Because of this, he is often not able to produce any more than a few commissions at each convention.San Diego is the most difficult show at which to do commissions, and while he will take a short commission list at the show, the only way you can GUARANTEE you get a commission is this sale!sale PARTICIPATION CRITERIA
The winner must accept the artwork IN PERSON at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) at Booth #5557. Mark guarantees the commission will be complete by Sunday, July 22, 2013. Winner must be attending the show and provide ID upon pick up. Payment in full will be required on or before the first day of the show, July 19, 2013. Payment can be made by PayPal (winner will be charged sales tax of 7% for PayPal transaction) or in cash at SDCC.
Failure to meet any of the above criteria will result in a second chance offer for the next highest buyer.sale RESTRICTIONS
Commission will consist of a single character of your choosing, 11x17” size(or bigger), including inks, Copic marker grey-scale and possibly spot color. Included in this sale are examples of past commissions that are similar in nature. Your subject must be a published character. Unfortunately, Mark will not accept requests for original, unpublished characters. Mark reserves the right to make artistic choices that he feels compliments and completes the artwork. Mark welcome’s your input in terms of which costume you wish your character to be in, or the mood/feeling of the piece etc. Please limit other requests as the more restrictions that are placed on the commission, the more constrained Mark becomes in his creativity and therefore, your piece may not be the best representation of Mark’s capabilities. He wants you to be thrilled with the finished piece and the best way to ensure this is to grant him creative freedom. Mark will NOT accept any lewd or offensive content requests.
Happy offerding and we look forward to meeting the lucky winner at SDCC!!
