Marvel Super-heroes 18, 1st Appearance Of The Guardians Of The Galaxy Hot Book

Marvel Super Heroes 18, 1st appearance of Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy Movie coming soon!

Item Description

Here is a nice item from my comic collection. Don't buy at high prices from full time dealers who make their living off selling comics. Instead, buy from me, someone who cares about fun, fandom, and treating others as you would like to be treated. You will find that I am putting up some great books (mainly bronze age and many high grade and/or first appearances including Iron Man 55, Jimmy Olsen 134, 1st Ra's A Ghul & other Neal Adams comics, Star Lord appearances, and more with some silver and modern age sprinkled in) as I thin out my collection including many comics with 99 cent minimum offers. I have been collecting comics since the early to mid 1970s. I thinned out a bunch of my undervalued high grade bronze age comics on in the late 1990s and early 2000s to rave reviews and I am back at it again. Many of my books I got rid of were CGCed by the buyers and are the 9.4 & 9.6 CGC graded comics you may find on today going for stupid money. I always would buy multiples of my favourite books and look for the highest grade possible. That is why I have had many duplicates in my collection. In other cases, I am just getting rid of certain titles. Go back to my early response (before distinguished between seller/buyer response) and you will see such comments as "offer with confidence" "big scans", "undergrading", "silly fun" "simply the best on " "thanks for the bonuses"... Yeah I know I sometimes spend more time designing an sale layout for a 99 cent comic with logos and fun, but that is what comics is all about, sharing the fun! So what can you expect when you buy a comic from me? Well, it has likely been part of my quest to find the best books and best condition possible. It has been stored in mylars, mylites, or acid free bags with a board upright.

This comic is Marvel Super Heroes 18. It is the first appearance of the Guardians of the Galaxy. This one will continue to rise in price, the closer we get to the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers 2 movies. Given people have different views on grading and I have seen pros disagree and inconsitently even by CGC, my preference is always to show large scans and describe apparent defects and let the potential buyer judge the condition for themselves. This has always served me well. Sure I could put high number grades in titles to get higher offers, but this isn't about money, it is about sharing the fun and thining some things out (and hopefully help get the kids through college). I would rather you get a book that you think is more awesome when you open it. Sometimes the scanner will make the comics look different especially blacks as it trys to pick up texture. So you may have a shinny black cover in real life but the scan looks grainy. If you want photos, I can send you them also. I just find the scanner shows any defects the best.  The scan should show everyting.  The comic has clearly been well read and has wear (cover creases, edge wear...)as the scan shows. If you a looking for a more affordable lower grade copy of this 1st appearance, this could be the one for you. It  is still a very collectible comic that will continue to increase in value as we approach the new movies. Comic has been stored in a Mylite  with acid free backing board. Please ask me any questions you may have. Let's put a 99 cent minimum offer and have fun!

I COMBINE SHIPPING costs, so if you win multiples, please wait and I will invoice you for the combined items.

A must for the hard core  collector. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I have either put a Buy it Now option for those who don't want to get into a offerding war with another collector or don't want to risk losing to all those people who wait until the last second to offer or listed this item as a Buy it Now listing. I will have some more superhero items up as well as Alan Parsons Project memorabilia up for sale as well as other items by Genesis and other bands.

Who am I?

I have been a comic book, toy, and record collector on and off since I started collecting as a kid in the early/mid 1970s. Comic books (and those by Neal Adams in particular) and mego action figures were a big part of my childhood. And of course, then there is The Alan Parsons Project... That's a long story there.

I have over 2000 positive response marks (100% positive). At initial glance, you might think I have mainly+ bought on until the last few years. However, when first started off I was selling parts of my comic collection. So about the first 300 or so of my positive response marks were for selling comic books as you can see. This is before tracked/differentiated between buying and selling response. If you go look at my early and recent selling response you will see that I always packaged well, undergraded, and was just an all around swell guy. I also set up regularly at comic conventions in the Atlanta area in the mid to late 1990s where I unloaded my NM duplicate bronze age books at dirt cheap prices before they went up in the guide. Over the last few years, I have also been selling my mego collection bit by bit on and am now putting the rest of those up as well as some comics I sent to CGC for grading and records also... And of course how about some Alan Parsons Project items for sale also..

If you have any questions about this item or any other items or want more pictures please email me.

What are the terms and conditions of this sale?

If you have more than 2 negative responses or less than 10 overall response points, please email me before offerding for approval. If you email me regarding such an issue ahead of time, it is likely I will have no problem with you offerding. I realize there are people are just getting started on .

Winning buyer to pay via Pay Pal or Credit Cards (through PayPal). Payment is required within 3 days of sale close. If payment in full is not received (unless other arrangements are made) within this time period, then I have the right to make the sale null and void and offer to next highest buyer or my neighbor's pet iguana if I choose. I will generally ship items immediately once payment is received. However, it may take up to 7 days (if I am out of town on business for a week). Also, if I know I am getting in a payment via PayPal in the evening from another sale, I may put off mailing a day, so I can mail multiple sales at the same time. I just don't want to go to the post office every day. I will give refunds. Given provides you buyer protection, I will do the same if there is something wrong and I have misrepesented the book. I take high resolution scans so you know what you are getting and rarely put definitive grades so you can judge for yourself. You need to contact me But don't damage the book and/or try to send a different book back  for a refund. I videotape the opening of any return to protect myself from those few slimey few out there who are dishonest. I will report anyone who practices monkey business to . now watches buyers more closely. I am a buyer myself, so I want everyone to be above board. If I sell a set, if you have a problem, then you will need to send the whole set back. While I at times may give a partial refund, in general, you will need to send the book back for a full refund. I am not interested in those who want to play games. Contact me within 2 days if there is a problem and if everyting is legit, then I would expect you to send the return within a few days of my giving you the thumbs up. Please let the pictures dictate the quality of the items. I have tried to take very detailed pictures so the winner will be happy. Please ask for more pictures if needed or want larger pictures or if you have any other questions.

All prospective buyers, please ask questions prior to buying.
