Victorian era (1870's) hand crank parlour organette in very good cosmetic condition. These coexisted with comb music boxes in many homes of the period and were the source for dance music and sing alongs at parties. The bellows are intact and did undergo some restoration in the past. The bellows do have air leaks now though and, in order to get the organette up to full sound, they will need some resealing (A coating of black Flexcoat?). The organette contains one of the original music rolls - some dance ditty that was approved by Victoria herself (supposedly). Great historical piece. Measures 13" square and 12 1/2" high.
