1293291 Sergeant (Observer) Walter Ernest Ruskin Wright, 161 Squadron Royal Air Force was killed in action along with the rest of his aircraft's crew when his Whitley Mk V bomber crashed in the vicinity of Boulogne when on a Special Operations Executive (SOE) Flight either dropping / picking up Agents or delivering supplies. Aged 31 years Wright was the son of Stephen andLily Jane Wiight, husband of Kathleen Mary Wright, of Whitehall, Bristol, he now rests in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery.
