Medieval Ladies Silver Signet Ring Cruciform Device c. 12th - 14th century A.D.:

This is nice medieval silver signet ring, dating to the 14th century A.D. The round bezel is cut with an elaborate cruciform device, for use as a private signature on wax. The band is of triangular section, simply soldered to the bottom of the bezel. It is quite small, so probably intended for a lady to wear as head of the household. Today the ring has survived intact, though has a few scuffs from its time in the ground.
