DESCRIPTION: This is a wonderful pair of men's dress shoe-boots that date from the 1930's Speakeasy Era. They are made of very fine leather in black, have a rounded, slightly angled-back toe, and a band of perforated leather across the vamp. They lace up with 10 eyelets, the top 4 sets as speed hooks. They're fully lined in heavy ivory canvas, and the tongues are lined with a thick layer of soft flannel, comfy and breathable. The stay-stitching is also finely done, showing little on the outside, but set in a sweep that adds style and class, the back heel seam flanged and stitched down, truly exquisite workmanship. The soles are also leather, not too thick, and finely stitch-affixed; the heels are about 7/8," flat style, and finished with old-skool Cat's Paw rubber. They are actually in nice condition for their age, though obviously have some wear. There is creasing across the top and along the sides, but no breaches, there are a couple deeper scuffs but not glaring, and the heels show some wear, but are certainly still well within the rubber cap. The inners are also in nice shape, only lightly soiled, and the thin heel-pad on the left boot is missing. However, because of this, you can see the sizing stamped into the last's leather, and it is 7D. As this is a very old sizing, I would not go by that. They fit me, snugly, and I wear a men's 8 (women's 10), so yes, they are a small men's size, but I will do my best to measure them for you so that you have a good idea of fit.
