This is a hand painted pottery Christmas ornament that is decorated with various Native American icons and is marked on the bottom, \"Mesa Verde\". The images include thunderbird, sun and star motifs and ball measures 2 1/4\" diameter. There is a gold tone metal hanging cap and gold cord to hang. Mesa Verde Cliff Dwelling is located in Montezuma County, Colorado. There are over 600 cliff dwelling there. The ancient Puebloans lived there for 700 years (AD 600-1300). Of course this item is not an ancient pottery item. It is not signed by maker but was probably sold in gift shop there or in the area.
