Mid 1930's Gibson Recording King Model M-3 Archtop:
Mid 1930's Gibson Recording King model M-3. Built in the same Kalamazoo plant that all the great Gibson guitars of the time were built. Mahogany, maple, mahogany, maple, mahogany. If all necks were made this way a truss rod would not be necessary. The neck on this guitar is straight with a good angle. I don't see any other damage or repairs.
Carved spruce top and maple back and sides.
Everything appears to be original. The frets are good. The nut width is 1 & 3/4". The string height at the 12th is less than 3/32" (the width of a nickel).
The guitar could probably use a light fret dressing and strings of your choice. This guitar like all guitars should be setup to your liking. This guitar is in excellent used condition. This item will ship in its hard case which shows the signs of the years.PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES CAREFULLY. FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING. PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN THREE BUSINESS DAYS OF SALE THROUGH PAYPAL. THANK YOU!!!
