Brutalism emerged in Europe as an architectural style in the late forties.
The movement varied and the term was adopted by architects and artists
over the next several decades. Brutalism embodied several key elements.
A sense of rawness. Exposed or unfinished materials and visual weight
and presence. In general, brutalist art and buildings express no effort in
trying to look comfortable or delicate. They are defiant and not compliant.Curtis Jere was a major force in mid century metal art
and this is one of his scarce original \"branch\" works from 1971.
Eye candy interpretation of a branch in Fall, with the leaves changing
