Coffee Server Mid-century Modern Inland Glass Vtg 1940's-1950's:
Here is a fabulous Mid-Century Modern Era, Vintage 1950's Hand-Blown Glass Coffee Carafe/Server, made by Inland Glass. This is identical to another server for sale in my shop, for the same price....how cool would it be to have TWO of these at your next dinner party?? (These were used at my Wedding Reception, in 1972, they belonged to my mother and were used at her bridge parties and luncheons in the 1950's and '60's!!) There is a logo on the glass near the top of the ball, with INLAND XXX Patent No DES-160186, (at least, I think that is the number... it is very hard to read!) This server was hand blown of Triple XXX Heatproof Glass. The silver trim is actually platinum, fired into the glass to make it long-wearing under frequent use. It is incredibly shiny and beautiful for its age. There are a few tiny scratches on the trim around the side, and at the top from putting the lid in, but nothing major to spoil its beauty. The server is about 12" tall, and it measures 20" around at the silver band, and holds about a quart of liquid. The handle is Bakelite plastic, and screws on firmly. The lid is aluminum, very lightweight, and the cork is intact and in perfect condition. There are no dents in the lid, (the other server lid has a small one) and the cork is perfect, not crumbly or broken. A lovely item OR items, for your Vintage or Retro kitchen collection! If you wish to purchase both, please let me know before you pay, I will ship them both together (well-padded). Thank you for looking at this fine item!
