Mid Century, Moderne, Waterfoul Tray With Folding Table By Wendell August Forge For Sale
As with the ice bucket listed earlier this tray depicts flying ducks (eight of them). The tray measures 21" x 13 1/2" (not including handles). Stamped #200. The condition of the tray is 'good' with some light pitting to the area around the ducks. I don't remember whether the tray and folding table came together when I got them but they are certainly a natural fit. The "low table" (Bk.1, p.46) measures just under 13 1/2" x 21" between the legs. The height is 18 1/2". I have also seen this table with trays of smaller sizes or round trays and it displays well. The tray is in excellent condition and folds neatly. It is stamped #902 on the lower inside of one leg with "Patent Applied For". This is the conclusion of the aluminum collection I am selling. Where relevant I have referenced the page number from Dannie Woodard's books"Hammered Aluminum - Hand Wrought Collectibles"(book 1, 1983 and book 2, 1993) where the item is illustrated. I recommend these books as definitive sources for any collector of aluminum. Generally, the condition of the collection is as you'd expect after a long time in storage: dusty, the odd,old sticker and all items could do with a clean. I will point out specific condition issues but please ask before offerding if you have condition questions.
