Vintage Mikimoto Earrings

Recent estate find. The top of each screw is marked S for silver and has the Mikimoto M mark. The fronts measure in the area of 3/4” long. The pearls are 6mm wide. The earrings have a total weight of 4.85 grams. The screws function well.

The earrings have some bending. One line of three pearls is straight. The other line of pearls is more curved with the center pearl being a bit higher than the other two. The straight line earring’s silver portions are more pushed or spread out than the other pair. I am not sure which earring is the normal one and which one has the apparent bending.

The top of one screw is beaten up, rough looking with heavy edge wear (nicks and whatnot).

All of the silver has crudeness. There’s scratching, dullness and discoloration. There’s dirtiness to the tight spots. The earrings definitely need a detailed cleaning.
