An antique solid silver Walking Cane top. Anglo Indian origin and typical Kutch decorated with coriander leaves in deep inscription in the shield cartouche. Segt. Major J Moore S.V.R Corps 1891. I believe that the SVR Corps stands for Stamford Volunteer Rifle Corps. A rare corps , rarely seen. A good heavy silver walking cane or Sergeant Majors baton top. In good condition, no dents and no wood on the inside - ready for re mounting . A fine piece of Indian silver . Approx 1.75" high,, dia 1.25" at top , takes a 1" dia cane. thick solid silver weighing 38.1 grams.
