This offering is for twenty (20) mini-hanks, focus on greens, in 20 different colors. Each mini-hank is twenty-five (25) yards long. Some are a bit longer, but none will be shorter. You will be receiving my Lot 243, all with hues of blues. What you receive will be exactly the hanks shown above.
I will be mailing them out to you via first class mail, in a poly white envelope. It is tear resistant and water resistant. The yarn will also be in a plastic bag for further protection. They will be mailed out the weekday following your payment.
I have checked and rechecked the length of the skeins, but, as it is always possible to make an error, I am including an extra skein that is twelve (12-24) yards long to make absolutely certain that you are getting the yardage paid for. Your bonus hank is in the last picture.
The sock is a simple 2 X 2 cuff-down pattern, made a whole lot more fun by changing the colors frequently.
These little skeins are great for a lot of different projects. Check out the blanket pictured above. It is a mitered square blanket (picture used with permission) and the pattern for it is available on Ravelry. It takes about 12 yards for a small mitered square, so one of these mini-hanks will comfortably make two of the squares.
The mini\'s can also be used in any of the great patterns in the brioche stitch. The brioche fabric is made a lot more interesting when the colors are changed frequently.Find below a list of the yarns included in this sale:
Thirteen of the colors are Opal yarn. Their yarns are made in Germany.
Six colors were dyed by me.
One color of Aracania Sock Yarn.
The freebie in this collection is one color of Brown Sheep Wildfoote Sock Yarn.
This collection is all superwash sock yarn, but the combinations are different and are not all the standard 75% wool and 25% nylon. The gauges are not identical for all of them. This difference works out with blocking, in my experience, so they can all be used together successfully.
I would recommend only cool water/ gentle wash, regardless of what the labels say. I don\'t dry my hand knits in a machine, even if the label says that it is OK, so I cannot speak to that and I don\'t recommend it.
Never put fabric softener with superwash wool. Superwash wool has been treated in order to prevent felting. Fabric softener can interfere with the treatment and may cause the knitted fabric to felt in subsequent washing.
