I bought this beautiful pen a couple of years ago from the original owner, who bought it new in the early 1990s. The original sales tag from Dayton\'s-Hudson\'s Marshall Field\'s is still on the box. It was $285 back then, and that sound like a far price to start the sale now.
Both the original owner and I only used Montblanc ink in it, and there are no cracks anywhere or any damage to the nib, feed, or piston filler. It\'s never been polished, serviced, or disassembled, so all parts are original. The clip band includes the word \"GERMANY\" and its serial number, and the larger band reads \"MONTBLANC - MEISTERSTUCK No 146\". There are no other markings or stamps. It writes very smoothly, and appears to have a Fine to Medium nib.
As you can see from the pictures, it includes the outer sleeve, inner box, presentation case with decorative paper that wraps around it, and the instruction book. The presentation case has no tears or cracks, but one of the clips beneath the fabric has popped loose. You may be able to pop it back in (I didn\'t try very hard for fear of breaking something). All items are original to the pen.
