This is a unique and outstandingly beautiful writing piece, even among the prestigious line of montblanc meisterstuck pens. Hewn in dazzling champagne-colored750 Gold, the continuous pattern of interlocking deltas forms a mesmerizing and infinite wave of fascination. The color of the gold itself astonishes with a warmth reacting to natural light. The iconic Montblanc star shines proudly from the cap in inlaid Mother of Pearl; a treat reserved only for Montblanc\'s finest.This pen was originally purchased, by me directly, from my local Licensed Montblanc specialty dealer here in downtown Seattle. It was intended as a gift for my mentor, but, at the time this pen was in short supply and extra time had to be allotted to procure this limited edition piece from the Montblanc Headquarters in Hamburg, Germany. I ended up getting another gift due to international shipping waits, and will no longer be needing this pen. It was inked once with finest quality blue-black fountain pen ink to determine the quality of the nib. Needless to say it is silk smooth and writes with utter elegance. Since then I have had my dealer professionally flush and clean this pen for the sale. This particular pen is mounted with a champagne-gold 18k Oblique Double Broad nib with a high amount of line variance and voice. However, Montblanc offers a nib exchange service for new condition nibs like this one, should OBB not be to your liking. Simply take it to your local Authorized Montblanc dealer and they will have it switched for a nib of your choice.Originally a $1650 pen, this is a great deal if you are looking for a stunning piece to add to your collection.
