There the habitues sit a great part of the night
Sometimes it is performed by gypsy girls
But it is a Bowery, with the reputation of Broadway
The imperial cortege poured from the Palace gate
You look down from the gallery through a haze of light

Condition Note
It's rather difficult to get the color and the contrast of the original in a scan AND preserve any flaws, which tend to get muted, so this text will describe flaws, if any.
Over 100 years old and in very nice shape. Carefully removed from an original period magazine. saleed as is.
