Morongo Native American Nicholas Gambino White Hogan Pin Pendant Turquoise .925 For Sale
Nicholas Gambino was from the Morongo band of Mission Indians in CA, a federally recognized tribe. The reservation is located in California at the base of the Gorgonio and San Jacinto mountains. Nicholas Gambino began actively silversmithing in 1971, a silversmith at the famous White Hogan. White Hogan changed the face of Native American jewelry because of their innovative designs and this pin pendant is a great example. It's a beautiful design indeed with a gorgeous piece of natural turquoise in the center. The piece is hallmarked with the White Hogan mark, says "Hand Made" and has Nicholas Gambino's NG hallmark as well. It is also marked for sterling silver. One great aspect is thhat it's an enhancer, not just a pendant, by which I mean the hook is open and can be easily attached to beads, Navajo pearls, a strand of turquoise, heishi or coral. You can move it from necklace to necklace. It's very versatile and you can also wear it as a pin. This stunning piece is in excellent vintage and collectible condition. Anything from White Hogan has intrinsic collectible value.
This is a dramatically beautiful piece.
