SUMMARY: Antique cornucopia form cordial decanter with original gilt metal stand and four handled glasses, made by Moser, Bohemia, circa 1880s.

The diminutive cornucopia rests stopper up, spigot down, in a flowing gilt metal frame with integral glass hooks and applied leaf, flower and bird decorations. The decanter is decorated with elaborate gilt and polychrome enameled berries and leaves, and the glasses with gilt fronds. A metal spigot has been inserted into the round front for easy pouring and a glass stopper fits at the tip for refilling. As is typical of Moser the quality of enamel is fine

DIMENSIONS: 8” long x 5” wide x 7 ¼” high (decanter & frame); 1 3/4″ high x 1 3/4″ wide (at handles)(mugs)

MARKINGS: unmarked as usual; documented form and décor; stopper numbered “8.”

CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition.

For accuracy: there is a single chip out of the rim and possible restoration to the spigot (it is tight and we do not wish to fiddle with it to much), else no physical flaws. There is some gilt loss to the glass as is common on these sets, over-all very good presentation with no noticed issues with the enamel. Two glasses are missing, but four are present is an improvement as they are often lost entirely. The original frame is present, fully gilt and complete.
