The feel is simply heavy and luxurious. The design has proven to be timeless and is still \'modern\' today. Crafted by the hand of an expertly trained master silversmith. All pieces are hefty sterling silver of a slenderized bulbous \'pear\' form with curvacious angular handles & tear drop finials. Amazingly, this includes the original matching really heavy and quite handy serving tray. An incredible modernist similar to the work of Georg Jenson, this highly yet simple styled set is in near pristine condition. This is apiece of true art on the sideboard when not in use.Being offered to a wise buyer here, is an early, handcrafted silversmithed set, circa late 1940\'s solid sterling .925 hallmarked silver tea and coffee set, comprising teapot, coffee pot, tipping kettle on lamp stand, handled creamer, open sugar bowl and two-handled waiter tray, hallmarked on undersides, tray width is 16 inches, length over handles is 22 3/4 inches, height of Kettle on lamp stand is 15 inches, liquid capacity is 72 oz. Coffee pot capacity is 56 oz and is 10 3/4 inches tall. Teapot capacity is 48oz, height is 8 1/4 inches. Marked as pictured. The service is of large scale & very heavy, consisting of: tilting hot water kettle on stand with with amazing construction to the spirits burner which is housed within the base serving as reservoir & burner, traditional low form teapot, tall coffeepot, open sugar bowl, handled cream pitcher, & matching solid massive handled waiter tray. The original insulators on all 3 pots appear to be pretty dark Rosewood. This service was never monogrammed or personalized. One dealer we consulted with, suggested that American designer Donald Coleflesh might have used this early modernist design to inspire his Circa 70 service, keep in mind this service is circa late 1940\'s so it was really ahead of the times!
