14.4 poundsOne very large specimen of Carey plume and angelwing agate from Central Oregon. Bright red plumes with yellow tips growing from a rhyolite matrix into clear chalcedony. Cut on four faces with three faces polished, the back face is unpolished. The polished faces have a professional mirror polish. I was told this was purchased from the collection of the late Howard Dolph over 30 years ago. This deposit is on a private Ranch that has been closed to collectors for decades. This is a large, one of a kind, museum size display specimen from an extinct U.S. locale. Shown dry, you get the exact stone pictured. Please let me know if you have any questions.
