Once you have paid your freight invoice, your furniture is taken to be professionally prepared by Pride Packing.

Due to the care Pride Packing takes with packaging furniture, the rural area in which we live & the large amounts of furniture to be shipped the wait time can be up to 20 days to leave zip code 68874. We do not have any control over when the local area trucker returns to Sargent. The main factor is the cost of fuel. Due to the high cost of diesel, the local trucker is not coming to this small town unless he has a full load in & a full load out. We are totally dependent on the local trucker to take our freight to the national carriers.
We do not have any control over the weather.

2. Ongoing Communication.
We email you directly when the local trucker returns to take your freight to the national carrier. We email directions specific to your freight shipment. Please check your email daily after your furniture purchase.
3. We oversee all operations done in Sargent, Nebraska. We do process your order immediately. Pride Packing takes it to be prepared as soon as you have paid the freight charge. Pride Packing immediately packs your item after you pay the invoice so your furniture can leave the next time the local trucker returns to Sargent. Some freight leaves as fast as 48 hours, because the customer has paid the freight invoice, verified their phone number & terminal location.
We do inspect & control the quality of the packing. The entire North Wing of the Sargent District Hospital is devoted to packing. Most buyers are unaware of the labor & time involved in preparing furniture for safe arrival. Large furniture items like china cabinets take 6 to 8 hours to prepare. The minimum packing time per Greyhound box is 2.5 hours. The average packing time for motor freight exceeds 6 hours. Handling furniture is labor intensive & time consuming. When you purchase from Earthjunk, you are supporting hard working Nebraskans & the economy of a small town. We have purchased TELL CITY Chair Company furniture online for our personal collection since 1998. We are aware Pride Packing's workmanship far surpasses the packed furniture we have received the past 15 yrs. Every time we were disappointed in the packaging, we added another no-no to the list & developed safeguards on our end.
If you upgrade to the PROTECT IT option your furniture has the ultimate protection in which to travel across the United States. The cost of PROTECT IT for single and double chairs is only 15 dollars. Larger items are slightly more depending on the size. If you wear a seat belt when you travel, you should consider PROTECT IT for your furniture's trip.
All Freight Shipments are for TERMINAL PICK UP
* You agree to pick up your furniture at the respective terminal within 3 days.* The YRC freight shipping amount is for pick up at the YRC freight terminal or a commercial business address with a dock.
Additional services are not included in the freight charges. The personnel at your local terminal will agree to additional work but they are not aware of the terms of this sale. Nothing beyond your pickup at the terminal is included. If you want additional work done on your end you must pay for the extra services. We want to be quite clear that you must pick up your furniture at the terminal.

FURNITURE PICK UP
* We offer a generous 90 days of free storage for furniture pick-up. We gladly give extensions based on your travel plans & weather. After 90 days storage charges of $25.00 a month per item apply if you have not contacted us to make further arrangements.
If you pick up your furniture you pay 6.5 % sales tax. After April 1, 2013 the rate is 7.0%
* If you are picking up your furniture immediately you need to bring cash.
* Prior to pick-up you need to schedule a pick up time so we can have your purchase easily accessible. We prefer at least a week's notice.
You are welcome to use your own shipper to pick up your item at 68874
Effective 2-21-2013 all large furniture items are freight.
Freight will be invoiced separately via Paypal. Please include your terminal location and phone number when you pay that invoice. Shipping is not free for freight items.
Murphy's Law! We have loaded a piece in one of our buildings, driven to Manor House to end the sale & find someone else has purchased the exact item. That is a rare event, but can happen. We refund your payment in full.
Ownership of the item transfers to the buyer with payment. It is your responsibility to inspect your freight thoroughly at the terminal & note any dents, gouges, tears in outer layers, broken wood in pallet, or any other areas of rough handling. It is essential you note areas of concern on the bill of lading above your signature. Example: dented right corner
* All insurance proceeds go to the buyer. We do not reimburse for damage caused in transit, replace the item or refund the purchase price. Insurance serves this purpose.
To access insurance funds you must fill out & return all required EARTHJUNK forms at your earliest possible convenience so your insurance claim can be initiated. All insurance claims require the buyer's signature on a Fraud Prevention Statement.
It is the buyer's responsibility to save all packaging materials & boxes, save the damaged item(s), take photos of damage & complete the required paperwork within 15 days. You must cooperate with the shipping company/insurance company/seller when or if they contact you for additional information, to schedule pickup, to inspect the items(s) or any other information needed to complete/process your claim.
Processing the claim is a teamwork effort between the buyer, the shipping company, the insurance company and the seller.
The buyer information must be submitted first as you are in possession of the damaged item.(s)We can not file your claim until you complete all required paperwork, take photos & mail it to us.
Your designated time frame to complete initial paperwork is 15 days or less.

We are non-smokers. All EARTHJUNK locations are non-smoking. On the rare occasion we have a piece of furniture with a smoke odor it will be disclosed in the sale description & the price reduced accordingly.
We do have, love & live with our dogs. We are in the depressing status of thinning/ balding /losing hair ourselves so there is always the chance stray hair - be it human or dog could arrive.
We have a large fenced shaded area on the north side of Manor House at 201 S. Hway 183 for our furry friends that travel along to Sargent, Nebraska to pick up furniture. Laddy is the current record holder for dogs that have shopped with Earthjunk.
