Nelvin Burbank is a Navajo Silversmith who comes from a family of traditional artists. His father, Nelson, and his Uncle, Herman Smith, make very traditional Navajo style silver jewelry, and their amazing skills have been handed down to this very talented artist. In addition to his making old style jewelry, he uses only high quality natural stones.
This bracelet is an example of his talent. It features five high domed gorgeous blue Lone Mountain turquoise cabochons that measure approximately 1" H x 1/2" W. They are set in plain silver bezels and are surrounded by 12 large rain drops. On each end, there are three small tear drop shaped coral stones with two small rain drops. The rest of the bracelet has Nelvin's magnificent hand stamped deep designs, both inside and outside.
It weighs a heavy 96.8 grams and is 1" wide. The inside measures 5 3/4" from end to end, not including the 1 1/2" opening for a total of 7 1/4". It cannot be adjusted . It is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips on any of the stones. Nelvin has put his hallmark "N B" on the inside of the bracelet and stamped it "Sterling".
