This is a BEAUTIFUL example of a New Haven Black Mantle Clock
It was made very early. The Chauncey Jerome Clock Company was one of the largest makers of clocks for a few years – then went out of business – was taken over by the New Haven Clock Co. in about 1850. This clock retains a paper Jerome label on the back. New Haven made very few of these black mantle clocks. It is a very happy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. Runs Great!
Good morning, Thank you for your interest. In one of the pictures you should be able to see the pendulum. As for the key, I don't have the original, but any clock key would work. I used a Grandfather clock key to wind it to test. I should have an extra one around here and I will throw it in when found
