Very good grip retaining all of its orginal shark skin wrapping and original wiring. Folding rear handguard is missing its locking ball (See photos). Very good 30 inch long blade showing a very nice etched décor on both sides. Some superfacial staining in areas. Fine Pettibone markings on riccaso. In its very good original brass mounted steel scabbard bearing a pleasing age patina throughout. An attractive civil war era officer sword!
