Nike usually appeared as a fit young woman with wings. Her symbols or attributes were her wings, often depicted with a wreath of victory or a staff and the chariot. Nike was a very fast runner, swift flyer and expert charioteer. Some sources say that she was the daughter of Ares, the god of war. This coin was struck in Olympia.
