*nr* Xrare Abercrombie & Fitch Adventurer's "brick" Flask, 27oz, German Silver For SaleAn extremely scarce German or Nickel Silver "Brick" Flask, made for Abercrombie & Fitch (NY) by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield (UK), ca.1920. The base is marked on the left: J D & S with the Dixon "Bugle & Flag" hallmark. The center section reads: ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO, NEW YORK, MADE IN ENGLAND. The right reads: L335/27oz, 1 BOTTLE. Unlike today, the original A&F store in New York was THE place for wanna-be sportsmen to buy (overpriced) gear and accessories. This is a sturdy, well-worn flask, certainly made for adventure with a generous 27oz capacity. It has definitely seen some travels, with various dings, dents, scratches and other age-appropriate wear; great character. The opening has an integrated screw cap with the original cork seal still intact. A fine conversation piece, or equally ready for some new adventure off the beaten path. Please see photo set for details, close-ups and further description. Measures approximately the size of a standard brick at 7-1/4"H x 3-1/2"W x 2"D.
