Named 101st Airborne, 321st Glider Field Arty Ike Jacket Paperwork And Insignia:
Purchased by me at the veteran's estate sale. Unfortunately, the veteran was deceased and the widow had alzheimer's. Because I can only have 12 pictures I'm breaking this grouping into two lots, The first lot is for the Ike jacket and the second for the insignia and paperwork. Pictures tell all. Just a fabulous grouping for a man that served as an outstanding howitzer leader as recorded in the award letter of the bronze star. This unit was in all the major campaigns, not to mention Bastogne. The brass engraved plaques are his memberships to The American Legion Life Member, 40 and 8 Association Life Member, and the 101st Airborne Division Association Life member. The coins are silver and bronze. I'm not certain of their true metal content. The bronze star letter is the thin "onion skin" paper with official seal stamped into the lower corner and likely accompanied the medal. Sales to lower 48 states only.
