Up for sale is a nautical-themed candy or nut dish decorated with gold and featuring a clipper ship image. It could also be used as a small ice bucket. It is in excellent vintage condition, with very minimal signs of wear. The glass is superbly cut in a raised diamond pattern and reflects the light nicely. There are half \"thumbprint\" indentations on the top of the lid, just below the finial. The gold decoration is in very good to excellent condition. This is a high-quality heavy lead crystal piece. The glass is approximately 3/8 inch thick. There are no cracks or chips, but there are a few scratches on the bottom and a small indentation on the rim, most likely done during the manufacturing process. The brand is unknown, as I cannot find a comparable piece. Please see the photos for additional details of the condition.
The dish measures 7” to the top of the finial on the lid. The base measures 5” to the rim and it is approximately 5” in diameter.
