This Valkyrie pendant is cast in pewter and is based on an original Viking age from Sweden. She is just one design from a number of very similar pendants dating from around the same period in history, a sign that this was a popular style of pendant in the Viking age.
The souls of the dead are carried to Valhalla by Valkyries.
