New Stephen White Handmade Silver Copper Mounted Headstall Or Chap Belt Buckle:
This is a new handmade silver and copper mounted headstall or chap belt buckle made by Stephen White from Plainview, Texas. Stephen started making spurs and cowboy hardware in 2004 and attended the Weyerts School of Engraving in Alpine, Texas to learn various techniques for overlay and inlaid engraving. Stephen is one of the spur makers selected to provide spurs for the Texas Style Bit and Spur Makers Association Woman's Protective Services sale along with other top makers. The buckle is marked S. White.
The buckle is steel with a dark iron finish and is mounted with a nickel silver flower with copper in the center of the flower. The copper is mounted flush with the nickel silver. The sides of the buckle and keeperare mounted with nickel silver engraved with a wiggle and wheat stalk pattern. There is wiggle engraving in the steel around the mountings. The steel on the buckle is rough and not polished out smooth as can be seen in the pictures.
