This is a beautiful and extremely rare media collection that documents the most significant events that took place in United States between 1851 and 1986. A joint effort between The New York Times and Postal Commemorative Society, the two binders in this listing are keepsake items that are destined to be passed down from generation to generation.
Each card stock page is dedicated to a historical event and features a reproduction of the The New York Times headline and story describing the event. The stories are continued on the back side of each page.
In addition, each page contains a first day cover and stamp related to the event. The commemorative envelopes are enclosed in plastic sleeves. The anniversary postmarks were stamped by Post Office locations in or near the city in which each event took place.
There are a fatal of 200 pages, front and back. Both volumes are in mint condition.
