For your consideration is this unique and collectible United States House of Representatives, Seal of the Speaker, Newt Gingrich signature, souvenir Bic Clic ball point pen.

This pen was a courtesy gift given to be by Speaker Gingrich back in 1996 when I worked alongside his security detail while the Speaker was in Houston, Texas on business. The pen was manufactured by \"BIC\" and the model appears to be a \"CLIC\". It accepts a common and very inexpensive ballpoint ink cartridge that is sold at most office supply outlets. Please refer to the description photo to see more details of theink cartridge I describe.

This pen is made of black plastic with gold colored metal accents. The bottom half of the pen displays the gold colored facsimile of Newt Gingrich signature alongside the official United States House of Representatives, Seal of the Speaker. The pen measures approximately 5.50\" in length. The pen\'s ink is black. The instrument writes intermittently due to the age of the ink cartridge but is being offered as a collectible piece for display purposes.

Please note, given the fact this ball point pen is over 20 years old, it is reasonable to assume and expect the ink cartridge may need to be replaced regardless of its current condition. I think ink cartridges sometimes tend to dry up after long periods of none-usage as in this case. However, as previously stated this pen accepts a standard, inexpensive, ink cartridge. These cartridges are the same type often found in all the giveaway free promotional pens we see around.

Given this pen has some direct history associated with the former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, I believe the piece is more suited for display purposes than it is for daily use. This pen would be a nice addition to any U.S. political memorabilia collector and looks great displayed as I had it for years.
