I will be listing a variety of nice estate-fresh Antique and Vintage Items this coming week. Here is a nice ANTIQUE CARVED WOODEN CIGAR AND MATCH HOLDER STAND WITH ROOSTER AND TWO BARRELS. It is 5-11/16\" wide and 4-1/2\" tall. Nicely carved piece. The rooster and foliage oval base is carved out of one piece of wood and the two carved barrels are attached to base by old screws. The base looks to be made of maple or similar hard wood judging by the bottom.
Old patina to surface as found in estate. There are break lines to the rooster\'s legs but rooster is carved out of same piece of wood as the foliage behind him so he is still attached to base firmly. The tip of the top tail feather on bird is chipped off. There is an age split to side of the smaller barrel and anther split line going up from the bottom of the larger barrel. The screw attaching larger barrel to base sticks slightly out of the bottom of piece. Wonderful old wood carving.Massachusetts buyers pay the 6.25% sales tax.
