Nice Chas Horner Silver Thimble In Box C1909 For SaleNice Chas Horner Silver Thimble in Box
Pretty sterling silver thimble by the reknown maker Charles Horner of Halifax. The thimble bears the Reg
No. 210800 and refers to the Princess May pattern. It's hallmarked for Chester but the date letter is unclear
but looks like 1909, it's beenstruck right on the pattern making it hard to read. The CH makers mark is also unclear. The thimble is in nice condition but looks to have had a tiny hole filled in the side. It's not easily
visible from the outside and I only spotted it from inside with a loupe. It comes with a box which bears a retailer's
name but the lettering is worn and unclear, possibly Parmenter? Thimble is quite small, about 14mm inside rim.
