Another ship related clock from the estate that we have been selling for the last couple of months. More listed, please check! Will combine shipping. Probably dates to the 50\'s. It\'s an English clock with an 8 day movement from what I\'ve read on the net. The back of the movement is marked \"156, Made In England,\" then there is a key engraving that says \"Conventry\" and below that it reads \"Astral\". The numbers \"155\" are stamped on to the hinges of the door as shown.Clock appears to have been restored at some point. Super nice brass case with no dents or splits. There are dents and scrapes in the painted back. Case has been polished at some point, could use a light polish at this time. Not tarnished, just a hint of light film on the top and some fingerprints. The paper dial is peeling along the edge by the 5 but you can\'t see it once the door is closed. Comes with what looks like a newer key, not shown in the pictures. I found the clock completely wound down. Wound it when I got it home and the clock ran fine for 3 or 4 days then stopped. I gently turned it left and right and it started right up again, been running almost a full day since stopping. Probably just some oil and maybe cleaning would fix it I would think but I am not an expert. Selling as is for parts or repair.About a 10 1/2\" diameter back, the dial itself is about 8 1/2\" and its about 4\" thick.
