Nippon 1909 Coralene Tall Vase Water Lily Design Gold Moriage Accents Nice For Sale
Up for offer is this gorgeous coralene vase that has a combination of both the coralene as well as hand painted features. This vase has the illusion of a water scene with shades of blue background colors. The actual water lilies have several colors of coralene present in them. The lily pads have shades of green and yellow. As the coralene pieces are noted for the moriage gold color that borders the petals and pieces of hand painting. Take a look at the lily pads themselves....they show the roots extending downward into the water..the coralene in shades of green here again surrounded by the gold moriage. Take a look at the hand painted pads...most easily seen in picture 4...they have the pads with gold moriage and the roots almost in a silhouette design...very nice. The hand painted flowers of several shades of color in them...with moriage rims on the petals. The rim and base both have a gold band with a single row of raised gold beads. This piece is almost 9 inches tall...just short of being this. It measures in at 4 3/4 inches at the widest. Mark # 242 on the underside in a reddish color. Has U.S. Patent NBR. 912171..Feb. 9. 1909. Some Japanese characters and Japan on the bottom. This piece is in very nice condition. I cannot detect any of the coralene missing....if so, not much at all. I cannot detect any chips, cracks or repairs. Even the gold has very minimal loss. I do note a few manufacturers dimples that were created when it was made. How often do you find a piece of this sizein very nice vintage condition? Offered at a price FAR less than I paid.
