Sterling silver thimble made by Scottish jeweller and designer Norman Grant of Dust Jewellery, formerly of Lower Largo, Fife, Scotland. The thimble is decorated with mayflies (or dragonflies) and flowers and was commissioned by the World Wildlife Fund to comemorate their 20th Anniversary. Hallmarked near the rim NG (for Norman Grant), the (Scottish) lion rampant for sterling silver, the Edinburgh assay office three towered castle mark, and the date letter script "H" for 1982. In excellent conditon - free of damage. Please note that minor flaws in the silver are not damage but a result of the casting process. Height approx. 1.9 cm; internal base diameter approx 1.5 cm; weight 7.4 grams.
