WOLF

Wolf, viewed by some nations as a transformer, is a popular image within crest and shamanic art. It is respected for its strength, agility, intelligence and capacity for devotion.

As a result Wolf’s hunting prowess, particularly successful hunters often claim it, as a spirit helper or guide. Wolf is also a prominent image within warrior societies, due to its fierceness, and is a central figure within ceremonial activities.

Wolf is easily recognizable by a long snout, prominent canine teeth and tall ears. A tongue may also be depicted, often curling upwards. Wolf imagery may also include Killer Whale motifs, hinting at the connection between these two animals.
