STERLING SILVER AND Copper WOLF BRACELET - new - signed and hand carved by the Kwagiulth First Nation Artist Norman Seaweed
Meaning: The Wolf represents loyalty, strong family ties, good communication,education, understanding and intelligence. Of all land animals the Wolf is themost accomplished hunter. Hunters would carve or paint lightning snakes withthe head of Wolves on their canoes in belief that the hunting skills of theWolves would help their hunting skills on the water. The Wolf is able toovercome fear, indecision and confusion.
Norman Seaweed, a member of the Kwagiulth First Nation, wasborn in Alert Bay, a small town on British ColumbiasPacific Northwest Coast of Vancouver Island. His mother’s family is from the Village Islandand his father’s family is from Turnour Island. He comes from alarge family of well known artists, wood and silver carvers and learned hisskills in jewelry carving from Lloyd Wadhams, when he started in 1978. Hisbrothers Alfred, Paddy and Rodney are also very talented and the Name\"Seaweed\" is highly sought after when it comes to any kind ofjewelry, bracelets, earrings, rings, pendants and necklaces. Norman\'spieces can be found in the finest Galleries on the Northwest Coastas well as in private collections.
Measurement: 1\" high, the bracelet is made for a 6 cm (approx. 2.4\") wrist, tight fitting!
