Northwood-Opal Cased Red Spatter w/Silver Flakes Water Pitcher

Today we have a beautiful 8" water pitcher in the "Leaf Mold" pattern made by the Northwood Glass Company of Martin's Ferry, Ohio (circa 1891). This is a beautiful and rare piece which is opal-cased with red spatter with very rare minute silver flecks. This is also known as "Royal Silver."
These pitchers are getting scarce and this one is exceptional. The handle is clear applied with no heat checks. The inside of the pitcher is white opalescent with beautiful pink coloring with silver minute flakes. An example of this piece is on page 68 of "Harry Northwood - The Early Years 1881-1900.
