Description:

1964 An unusual masonic presentation certificate given as a token of affection to a Dr. Schultz a 33rd degree Freemason for his service to Freemasonry and the Scottish RIte Branch of Freemasons. What makes this particularly unusual is that its hand drawn and beautifully rendered Egyptian and occult symbolism. The certificate incorporates Egyptian double columns capped with a sphynx, winged sun symbols, and other esoteric symbols including the symbol for the Lodge of Perfection, The Rose Croix, etc.

The certificate is signed by Henry Clausen, one of the most profound esotericists of his day, a close colleague of Manly P. Hall, head of the Scottish Rite Branch of Freemasonry for over a decade, and a key player in some of the events of the second world war. Light foxing to paper, in original frame, some minor tears to paper covered back, else good. 15 by 17 inches with frame.
