Included is the original sturdy presentation box or chest having served to protect the coffee pot all these years in a fitted interior with reddish felt lining. The interior bearing the Odiot logo with street address of 72 rue Basse du Rempart - Paris. Carrying handle on the lid. Embossed monogram NH corresponding with monogram on the coffee pot. The box does show wear and its age. Measures 11 5/8\" x 10 1/2\" x 7 1/8\" height.

Founded in 1690, the prestigious House of Odiot is probably the most renowned French silver dynasty. Gustave Odiot succeeded his father Charles-Nicolas in 1865, and he received the largest order ever placed with the House of Odiot - 3,000 pieces of solid gold flatware for Saïd Pacha, the Viceroy of Egypt, and was purveyor by appointment to the court of His Imperial Majesty the Tsar. He was the last member of the Odiot family to direct the company.
