Luxurious Antique French Vermeil Sterling Silver 2pc Fish Server Set, comprising a serving fork and knife in the rare, highly decorative, pattern designed by the famed House of Odiot in 1776 for the Royal hunt of King Louis XVI in Compiègne. The spectacular, meticulously detailed Compiègne pattern features games trophies suspended from \'Marie-Antoinette\' bows, garlands of fruit, acanthus and beaded decor, with an oval medallion (no monogram) on the back. Very finely crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is stamped with the French Minerve 1st standard silver mark (.950), maker\'s mark and signature of the House of ODIOT. Overall condition is excellent with just fine surface scratches to note, and the rich vermeil (18k gold on silver) is beautifully preserved.
