Ohlsson & Rice 1950s Gas Tether Car...rare, Vintage, No Reserve For Sale
, ONE LISTING ONLY!
Up for 10-day sale is one Ohlsson & Rice Inc. die-cast metal 1950s gas tether car. I found it at an abandoned estate in a box. This car is in decent condition for its antiquity, but could use a little TLC and could be fully restored by the right person. The photos speak for themselves... you can see where the paint is worn. Mechanically speaking, the flywheel does rotate and the engine does not appear to be seized up, but of course it does not start. The undercarriage and suspension are sturdy, attached, and unbent. The exhaust pipe on the right side of the car is firmly attached, and bears no tarnish or damage. The plastic windscreen is cracked, and some of the decals are worn in places, though not seriously.

UPDATE!! I have had several requests for pictures of the car with the top removed and the underside, to help buyers determine such things as engine size, fuel tank status, etc. I have now reached the maximum picture limit, and I see no other data stamped onto the engine or the car body, so I will not be able to answer any further questions.
