OLD 1930'S - 40'S OCEAN LINER 2 US GALLON MOTOR OIL TIN CAN AIRPLANE/ AUTO RARE,FOR SALE: This is a two gallon sizeveryrareOCEAN LINER BOEING CLIPPER 314 AIRPLANE MOTOR OIL TIN CAN, TRAYMORE LUBRICANTS NEW YORK, N.Y. The airplaneon the oil can was onlyin production from 1938 to 1941. The plane wasnot introduced into service untill 1939. Only 12 of these airplanes,( Boeing 314 CLIPPER, FLYING BOAT), were made.None exist today. This would make this nice old oil can some what rare, just with the plane on it. The oil can has good color and great period graphics. The oil can does have some scratches, paint loss, minor surface rustand a dent on the topedge of one face.We was told these dents are caused by air condensing in the can in cold temperatures.The can is original with cap. This can offers great period graphics and displays well. Myhusband hadhis collectionhanging in his garage for years, really neat looking. This old OceanLiner motor oil can would make a great addition to any oil, gas type collectionavid or amatuer.Please view all photo's for a better visual description.
