For sale is a rareand important example of anold signed Meissen crossed sword blue mark pate sur pate covered box. As you can see from one of the photo's, there is an old repair to aportion of the lid. The restoration seems to be limited to the outside rim, and does not affect the blue and white winged angle in the middle portion of the lid. There is some wear the the gold trim in the lid and bottom, but otherwise the bottom of the box is in excellent condition and has no repair. Measures 3 1/4" wide in diameter by 1 1/2" tall. You can see somewordsinscribedin the base, but I cannot makethem out. Some of the photos show reflections of light which may look like damage, but are not.
